The ESTHER Initiative
Georgia’s amazing network of care, led by Helping Hands Ending Hunger, found their partner in ESTHER – a caretech individual financial assistance platform that empowers this network to provide financial support to families in need.
Through ESTHER the school counsellors and family connection coordinators are able to enrol familles in need of financial care and provide a safeguarded unique card to their recipients.. They can produce reports on spending to their funders, prove money is being spent wisely and safely and collect stories on how family poverty is being impacted.
ESTHER Prepaid Accounts
Once a recipient is registered, ESTHER connects a pre-paid card to that account.
Fraud prevention mechanisms and merchant code restrictions are in place to ensure funds are traceable and protected for essential goods.
